Heritage Funday on Sneinton market

There will be a Free Heritage Fun Day at Victoria Leisure Centre 10am – 4pm on Saturday September 13th organised and funded by Save Victoria Baths in partnership with Sneinton Alchemy and Nottingham Civic Society. It is part of the Heritage Open Day programme.
There will be :
- Free Swimming (12pm – 4pm)
- Stalls – food, art, goods etc
- An exhibition of stories, photos and memorabilia drawing upon local people’s experiences of the baths from before the Second World War to the present day. There will also be the chance for people to tell their stories to the curators who will be making recordings of people throughout the day.
- Side Stalls – coconut shies and play items for sale
- A Puppetteer
- A walk that will be led around Sneinton Market and Victoria Park by Ian Wells of Nottingham Civic Society looking at the fascinating mixture of 19th and 20th Century buildings and parkland which form this distinctive and characterful area of Nottingham . The walk is open to all ages and will start from the Market at 10.45am.
We need folk to help out on the day – helping with the Save Vic Baths stall and putting up/taking down stalls. Whatever time you can spare, please let Fidel know via the yahoo group.
